Since Clinton became the junior senator from New York, Cooper has been a most visible presence representing the senator’s LI office. Going from event to event, holding meetings and delving into every level of constituent affairs, Cooper has become a player without hav- ing to run for office. Besides her accomplishments thus far, another reason Cooper is on the Power List is speculative: Should Clinton run for president, you can be sure Cooper will have even more friends than she already does, and will most likely pack her bags and head to D.C.
