Thanks to the tireless determination of far-sighted companies like the Posillico Group, Glen Isle, one of 16 national Environmental Protection Agency showcase projects, is on the fast track to transform more than 50 acres of Glen Cove’s contaminated waterfront into the largest mixed use, smart growth development on LI. Michael Posillico may not want to take the credit but his contributions certainly deserve recognition. His firm is a leader in brownfield remediation, and he’s not afraid to get his hands dirty when it comes to cleaning up the environment. Perhaps that’s why he’s just been named the new chairman of the League of Conservation Voters for Long Island. Good job.
