38. Robert Catell

It looks like a big fall, but it makes sense. Catell seems to be winding down his time in the spotlight, and with good reason. He started his career at Brooklyn Union Gas almost 50 years ago, and has steadily climbed the ranks to become the head of what is now KeySpan. The past year has had him under the gun for the proposed KeySpan sale to British company National Grid. And with the planned departure of LIPA-head Kessel, the Catell-Kessel hour might be coming to an end. Maybe they’ll have one more run like Broderick and Lane before the lights go out. Not literally, of course.
