After sitting as the president and CEO of the Long Island Housing Partnership, Morgo was handpicked by County Exec Levy to spearhead the development of workforce housing in Suffolk. It is an unenviable job at times, since those who may actually get a home from a new development could see him as a hero, but antidevelopment activists—or those who dis- agree with his ideas—see him as a goat. Either way, he is the gatekeeper of thousands of acres of land in Suffolk, and people had better play nice with Morgo.
