43. Ann-Marie Scheidt
2011 Power List
She may have gotten her doctorate at Stony Brook studying the past of American foreign relations but Ann-Marie Scheidt is fully immersed in developing the cutting-edge companies of tomorrow and making sure that Stony Brook is moving forward into the high-tech future. She chairs the Business Incubator Association of New York State and the tenant selection and review committee of Stony Brook University’s Incubator Programs. She’s the director of the Hauppauge Industrial Association, the Long Island High Technology Incubator, Inc., and serves on the board of advisors of Long Island Metro Business Action. Scheidt is the vice chair of the Community Development Corporation of Long Island and co-chair of the Hauppauge Industrial Association’s business development committee. And somehow she also finds time to be the co-executive director of the Long Island Angel Network. So if you want to give her the business, she’ll gladly oblige.
