If you watch the ABC-TV megahit Extreme Makeover, you know who Sal Ferro is. His company, Alure, has made dreams come true for several Long Island families, redoing their homes with the hope that they were making a real difference. His efforts have helped make Alure one of the premier home-remodeling companies on LI. And, before you ask, he did not promise a new kitchen to the Long Island Press if he were named to the Power List. He is simply deserving of the honor.
