Often, power is represented in numbers. If that is the case, then the countless immigrants who call LI their home have to be acknowledged as a major force. The immigration issue is a national hot button, but has a local component no matter where you go. As the House debates immigration reform, local protests showcase the need for real change and real solutions for the problems facing the growing immigrant community.
