Known as forceful, hardworking and a powerful speaker, this community activist was the plaintiff who forced Nassau County to get everybody’s property reassessed. She has been chair of the Economic Opportunity Commission board, was a co-founder of the antiracism group UPSERJ and has worked on economic development issues. Now she wants to bring to the county a Civilian Complaint Review Board, like the one in NYC, to oversee police. You can LOVE HER or HATE HER depending on how your reassessment goes.
