President & CEO, PSEG Long Island
A 25-year veteran of PSEG, the diversified energy company based in Newark, N.J., Daniel Eichhorn was promoted to president and chief operating officer of PSEG Long Island last October. He had previously been vice president for customer services. The company is a subsidiary of Public Service Enterprise Group Incorporated, a publicly traded diversified energy company with annual revenues of $9.1 billion, and manages the Long Island Power Authority’s transmission and distribution system. Previously, Eichhorn served as PSEG Long Island’s vice president for customer services. As vice president, Eichhorn was responsible for marketing and marketing strategy, customer contact, meter-to-cash functions, and solar and energy efficiency programs. Before that, Eichhorn served as director of the utility’s Customer Contact and Technology unit, where he was in charge of assessing and implementing new customer technology, supervised call center operations, and managed the company’s 16 customer service centers. At an earlier position he led the implementation of a new SAP-based customer information system. Eichhorn draws from a broad background in electric and gas operations, customer operations and the appliance service business. Eichhorn earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the State University of New York Maritime College and has earned Masters’ degrees in Business Administration from Drexel University and Rutgers. He has attended numerous leadership development programs, including The Center for Creative Leadership, Darden School of Business and the Balanced Scorecard Management System.
