President & CEO, Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation
Michael N. Rosenblut is president and chief executive officer of Parker Jewish Institute for Health Care and Rehabilitation in New Hyde Park, the health care and rehabilitation center for older adults. Rosenblut administers sub-acute and post-acute care, short term rehabilitation and long term care programs, as well as overseas geriatric medical education and research center operations. He is responsible for multiple community health care programs, including an adult day health center, home health care and community hospice programs. Under his stewardship, Parker has initiated programs in wound care, pain management, palliative care and behavior modification, installed a new computer infrastructure, and undertaken comprehensive building renovation and modernization. A champion of the “home away from home” health care environment for older adults, he has introduced concierge service, buffet dining and a 24-hour patient/family hotline. Rosenblut has also led the planning and development of new dialysis center, the Queens-Long Island Renal Institute, and a new transportation division, Lakeville Ambulette Transportation. He is also founding chairman for AgeWell New York, LLC, a licensed managed long-term care and Medicare plan. Previously executive vice president and chief operating officer, then acting CEO of the Institute, Rosenblut has spearheaded a marketing program that’s fueled Parker’s leadership in collaborative labor management projects including quality improvement training, certified nursing assistant mentoring and cost containment forums. Rosenblut serves on the boards of the Continuing Care Leadership Coalition, League of Voluntary Hospitals and Homes of New York and Healthix (Regional Information Healthcare Organization). Last May he received the Lawrence E. Larson Memorial Award of Honor at the LeadingAge New York Annual Conference.
